Why We Built This Site
Michigan gives the public broad access to court records. The hard part is figuring out which office holds the file you want. Cass County runs a unified County Clerk/Register of Deeds, not the split clerk setup some other states use. That single office is the records hub. It keeps circuit and family court files, vital records, marriage licenses, and business name filings. The 43rd Circuit Court and 4th District Court are the trial courts that hear cases. The Sheriff manages the jail and custody access. The Probate Court handles estates, wills, and guardianships. Add the state agencies that hold driving and corrections data, and the picture gets crowded fast. We pull together the contact details, search portals, fee schedules, and request steps for each of these offices into one place.

Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
